Sixth Annual Missouri Economics Conference

The Research Divisions of the Federal Reserve Banks of Kansas City and St. Louis along with the Department of Economics at the University of Missouri—Columbia are pleased to announce the sixth Missouri Economics Conference, which will take place at the University of Missouri on Friday and Saturday, March 31 - April 1, 2006.

The deadline to submit papers for the 2006 Missouri Economics Conference has now passed.

Keynote Speakers:
Marcus Berliant, Washington University in St. Louis, to present "Knowledge Creation as a Square Dance on the Hilbert Cube"
Dan Bernhardt, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, to present "The Simple Analytics of Informed Finance"

Registration:
Nonpresenters are invited to participate, and everyone must register. To register, send an e-mail to Joann Kunza <kunzaj@missouri.edu>. There are no registration fees. Attendance is limited by available space and hence all participants must pre-register. The registration deadline to be included for luncheons and dinner is March 20, 2006. Late registrations may be accepted if space is available.

Sessions:
Concurrent sessions will consist of four papers. Participants will have 30 minutes to present a paper. All sessions will take place at the Memorial Union on campus (Hitt Street between University Avenue and Rollins Street).

Flying to the Conference:
The local airport is Columbia Regional Airport. It is generally cheaper to fly to Kansas City (126 miles to the west) or St. Louis (125 miles to the east) and either rent a car or take a shuttle bus.
