Estimates of the High-Employment Budget: 1947-1967
Taxing and spending actions of the Federal Government are generally believed to have a significant effect on spending, production, employment, and prices. Among the various measures of Government fiscal actions, the high-employment budget is one of the best single measures of the net effect of these actions on economic activity.
