The FRED Blog: Who's hiring?
The FRED Blog examined the very active U.S. labor market and its hiring rates by sector and found large disparities. In June 2017, the hiring rates for construction, hospitality, and professional services were 5-7% of their workforces; this is logical given the high turnover rates for those sectors. In contrast, the government’s hiring rate was 1.5% for the same period, and manufacturing’s rate was 2.6%. See the full post here.
