Call for Presentations

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Economic Education department requests proposals for concurrent session presentations at its 2017 Annual Professors Conference: Effective Instruction = Solid Content + Engaging Pedagogy.

The conference will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 and conclude at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3. It includes a reception and dinner on Thursday evening and breakfast and lunch on Friday. The conference is free, but all presenters must be registered. Presenters are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations.

Concurrent sessions—in hour-long blocks—will occur on both days. Audiovisual equipment (a screen, projector, computer, and sound) will be provided in each room. The number of conference attendees typically is 100.

    A 60-word-or-less abstract that (i) explains how the topic relates to improving undergraduate-level economics instruction and (ii) a description of the practices and materials to be highlighted in the presentation.

Proposals will be reviewed by a committee including professors, and you will be notified of selection by August 31.
