Call for Papers

We are now accepting submissions of paper in all fields of economics to be presented at the merger of Washington University's 6th Annual Economics Graduate Student Conference and the 11th Annual Missouri Economics Conference. Completed manuscripts will be given priority, but abstracts will also be considered.

The conference is undergoing a minor transformation. In the past, graduate student presentations have played a vital role in the Missouri Economics Conference. By commingling it with Washington University’s Economics Graduate Student Conference, that role is expanded. To mark this change, the conference will undergo cosmetic changes. Most notably, we will have up to 30 graduate papers presented at the conference. In addition, there will be two papers per session with approximately 20-25 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes for a discussant, and 5-10 minutes for Q&A.

The conference will be held at Washington University on October 14 and 15, 2011. To be considered for presentation at the conference, research papers or abstracts should be sent via email to:

The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2011. Please be sure to attach a pdf of your paper and include an abstract and JEL codes with all submissions. Also, please indicate if you are a graduate student and if so, please send your paper to Please send faculty papers to Acceptance notices will be sent by October 1, 2011.
