They Are Computed From Factory Output, Imports And Exports, An The Change In Cold Storage Holdings. Relief Distribution Beginning In 12/1933 And Estimated Purchases Of Butter Under The Stamp Plan Beginning In 05/1939 Are Included As Well As Shipments To Noncontiguous Territories. Farm Butter Is Not Included. See The 1942 Supplement To The Survey Of Current Business. The Data For 1917 And 1918 Were Computed By NBER In Order To Place Them On The Same Basis As 1919 And Following Years.
